Keysight (formerly Agilent, formerly Hewlett-Packard) announces the new Keysight AP500xA RF Signal Generators.
The new Keysight AP500xA RF/µW Analog Signal Generators aim to provide a portable, pure Signal Source solution for RF Characterization measurements at a low cost.
Some basic features include of this new series include:
- Compact and portable RF and µW analog signal generators (≤ 2.5 kg)
- Best-in-class output power range (+17 dBm for AP5001A and +23 dBm for AP5002A)
- Best-in-class phase noise signals (10 to 20 dB lower) with micro-Hz frequency resolution
- Best-in-class frequency switching speed (25x faster)
- SW License Upgrades: frequency, power range
- Analog modulations (AM, FM, PM, Pulse, Chirp) included as standard
The above features become important for applications like Gain/Distortion/linearity testing of amplifiers, Radar testing with blockers, RF/MW input and LO substitution for mixer testing, Analog source input and clock substitution for ADC testing and Consumer electronics/wireless receiver sensitivity testing.
